Okay, so I thought I would title this, "Who Needs Pie When There Are Cupcakes" but I so can't do that! I love pie. Some of my flavors are inspired by pie flavors. So, how about having your cupcake and eating pie after that!!
I added a couple flavors just for Thanksgiving! Available November 21st through November 30th

Moist, sweet potato cupcake topped with buttery, caramel buttercream and walnuts.
Pecan Pumpkin Cheescake $36 perdozen

Don't forget that I still have these additional Fall flavors that I added last month. They are also available until 11/30.
Cinfully Spicy Cocoa $24 per dozen
Mexican chocolate, cinnamon cupcake infused with chile powder then topped with a spicy chocolate, cinnamon buttercream and garnished with a chocolate leaf sprinkled in cinnamon.
Pecan and Dulce de Leche $29 per dozen

Where has the Cup Cake Lady Been??
Hello All,
I have not posted in almost 4 weeks! First of all, when the article came out in Ventana magazine I got crazy busy :) Yay!! I am so thankful to Kate who wrote the article. Right after that the election news was building and all of a sudden it got silent. I am a firm believer in cause and effect and I really think people were just absorbed... sorry no cupcakes for them. I did keep busy- as you can see in my posted pictures-but very slow.
Soon after this, my Mother-in Law, who has been battling breast cancer this year, became very ill and unfortunately lost her battle to this horrible disease on 10/28/08. So in a way I am glad I had to time to breathe, not have to focus on baking so much and just spend time with family. We are sad, as she was so young...65 years old, but we are thankful she is no longer suffering and at peace. Stay tuned for a new cupcake flavor I am adding in her memory. On one of her good days she and I managed to create this cupcake together in a conversation and my husband named it on her behalf. I can't wait to share it with you.

Cupcake Tiers
Just wanted to remind you that I make custom cupcake tiers for rent, so you can have a couture presentation to go along with the yummy cupcakes you purchase. Here are some pictures of one I recently made and rented.

The theme was hot pink and brown flowers and polka dots. For a modern baby shower.

Four flavors: Cinnabun, Pretty in "Hot" Pink, Cup of Pink Lemonade, and Chocolat
Other recent cupcake orders/events

This was for a wedding shower

This was a cupcake party I held for some friends so they can do some sampling

Custom order of Cup of Pink Lemonades w/a chocolate heart instead of a lemon wedge.

I love when cupcakes are all neatly lined up... weird I know!

Finally... someone ordered the Peanut Butter & Chocolates!! Yumm-o!!

I Can't Wait.....
I am so excited, as tomorrow I can go pick up the publication of Ventana Monthly -Fine Living in Ventura County- Last month I was interviewed about my new cupcake business by Kate, writer and photographer. Kate has quickly become quite the "tester" of my cupcake flavors! I think she is hooked on the Pink Cup of Lemonade.
Photographs were taken by Kim Riddle. Kim was really nice and almost made me feel comfortable having my pictures taken while I baked. :) No offense to her, it is just so hard to do!! I had never seen her website until today, and WOW- what amzing pictures she takes of food.
This is pretty exciting and I am so anxious to see the article, as I have not read or seen anything! As soon as the online magazine version is updated I will post a link to their site. For now, I will have to settle for sharing the unknown.
Now I lay me down to sleep I pray to God I have no double chin in those pictures!! :)

Pink Hair for Hope

So today my daughter, Diamond, and I got a pink hair extension to wear during the month of October. There is a salon in Ventura, Club Salon, that is doing them. It costs $10 and all proceeds go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation for research. Keri, the owner, was very cool and they have been excited to offer this service. Diamond is so ecstatic to show her friends tomorrow at school. She is also very proud to have gotten one because her Nana is currently going through breast cancer treatment. So if you live near Club Salon or another salon providing the Pink Hair for Hope project, go get one!!

Get Ready for the Pink!
These chocolate cupcakes with pink buttercream were for a bridal shower, but it serves as a reminder that I am gearing up for October. You will be seeing more pink cupcakes in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Check back and you will see more postings about this.
